Settings

The app stores various settings per shop. Which options you see depends on your subscription (Free/Basic, Pro, or Plus). Details: Pro and Plus features.

Withdrawal period

  • Withdrawal period (days): 14, 21, or 30 days. The period starts on the day after receipt of the last item (for partial deliveries: last delivery).
    • Free/Basic: Fixed 14 days.
    • Pro/Plus: Selectable (14, 21, or 30).
  • Withdrawal notice: If you do not provide a legally required withdrawal notice in your shop, the period extends to 12 months + 14 days after delivery. Set “Valid withdrawal notice” to “Yes” in the app if you do provide such a notice.
  • Delivery buffer (days): Estimate of days between shipment and receipt (default e.g. 3). Used when no exact receipt date is available.

Emails

  • Email notifications to merchant: On/off. When on, you receive an email as soon as a new withdrawal request is submitted (with order number, status, link).
  • Customer emails: On/off. When on, the customer receives a confirmation and possibly further emails on status changes (e.g. return created, withdrawal rejected).
  • Support email / customer service: Optional contact address used in error messages or notices to the customer.

Refund deadline reminder (Pro/Plus)

Under § 357 BGB (German law) you must process the refund within 14 days of receipt of the withdrawal declaration. The app can email you when this deadline is approaching and there are still open returns or refunds.

  • Reminder before deadline: On/off. When on, you receive an email when the 14-day refund deadline for a withdrawal is about to end and not all returns have been processed or refunded.
  • Days before deadline: How many days before the deadline the reminder is sent (1–5, default: 3). The email includes order number, deadline, and a link to the withdrawal detail page.

Note: Reminders are sent via a scheduled job (cron) run by the app provider. If you enable the option but do not receive reminders, contact support – the cron must be set up on the hosting side.

B2B exclusion (Pro/Plus)

  • B2B tag: You can optionally specify an order tag (e.g. b2b or company-order). Orders with this tag are treated as B2B and excluded from automatic withdrawal rights (no withdrawal via the form).

Return and cancellation (Pro/Plus)

  • Automatic refund on return: When enabled, the app can trigger the refund after the return is received.
  • Return confirmation: Whether confirmation of receipt of the return is required before further steps (e.g. refund).

Partial withdrawal (Plus)

  • Enable partial withdrawal: Only with Plus. When enabled, customers can select individual items for withdrawal (line-item selection). Non-selected items are not part of the withdrawal request.

Email verification

  • Email verification required: When enabled, customers (especially guests) must verify their email before the withdrawal is submitted – by verification code (email) or confirmation link. Improves security against abuse. The desired method can be configured in the app.

SMTP (Plus)

  • Custom SMTP: With Plus you can optionally configure your own SMTP server (host, port, user, password, SSL/TLS). Then all emails (confirmation, merchant notification, etc.) are sent via your server instead of the app’s default.
  • Useful if you want your own sender domain or specific delivery requirements. Field names (host, port, security) are in the app’s settings page; technical SMTP details (SPF, DKIM) may need to be set up with your email provider.
